No more needing to hover over just the right spot to see a cross-reference—or having to open up a bunch of tabs, windows, and panes. All references expand right underneath what you’re reading, even footnotes in the catechisms and confessions. Pane free!
Many verses feature Backlinks – A tool that shows you resources that mention the verse you’re studying. For example, when the Westminster Shorter Catechism uses the verse you’re studying as a proof-text, you can see that catechism question and where it’s referenced quickly and easily.
Relight was born out of a passion we both share to get reformed theology into more people’s hands. We wanted to make a tool that reformed pastors could use themselves and confidently recommend to their congregations. And we’re just getting started.
We have big dreams for Relight. Commentaries, catechisms, confessions—even things that don’t start with ‘c,’ like systematic theologies, sermons, and original language tools. We’re releasing each part as we finish it, and we need your feedback to help shape the app.
We’re a small husband-and-wife team of two confessionally reformed Presbyterians, creating the study app that we wanted to be able to use. Because why not? David is the one with the beard, the brains behind the code, and resident typography specialist. Sarah is the graphic designer, our quality assurance specialist, and she also manages social media.
As the app has grown, so have the costs to run it! We aren’t about pushy donation campaigns or social pressure, but if you love Relight and would like to take some of the load off our family’s budget as well as support the addition of new resources and features that cost money to purchase or host, take a look at our Support Us page.
We get a lot of feedback from users on the app, and we love it! Many of the features and tweaks you see on Relight are based on suggestions from users. Because this is a side project for us and we have limited time to sort through all the feedback, we’ve created a message board where you can offer suggestions and discuss them with other users.
